THE BOURNE IDENTITY is a brilliant spy movie made to capture peoples attention and amaze people with its bloody action and kung fu action packed thriller. With its realistic locations and top acting from Matt Damon (Jason Bourne) and Chris Hooper (Conklin) and lengendary academy award winner Brian Cox (Ward Abbot). In my oppinion Bourne Identity shows intellegance and cool getaways such as the car chase in Paris. This is a must see and a 10/10, 5/5 and number 1 blockbuster to all in europe and non-europians who love spy films. James Bond relys on worthless gadgets and never thinks ,but bourne relys on his instincts. *****

For a professor of asian languages David Webb (aka Jason Bourne) shows very little of his linguistic talent in this movie and in the next. Ludlum does more credit to his character than the movies. Also, "Delta is for Cain. Cain is for Carlos". Where is the infamous "Carlos the Jackal"?

This script is so inaccurate but the film is really good.

I love the people like melissa that say a script is inaccurate. I have seen this in almost every thread on this site. You do know that the script is done first and then the movie right? It could be a first draft that after many re-writes they finally got to what is on screen. Even a shooting script will not always match what is seen on screen as actors will improve scenes and after shooting, certain scenes might be cut that they feel don't fit. They will start off going by the script and might re-write certain scenes on the fly. As for this movie I liked it.

This has to rate as one of best spy franchises to come out of Hollywood. Far more successful the and the three dreadful "Mission:Impossible" films that the planet has been subjected to. One can believe in amnesiac Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. Damon can bring such a cold ruthlessness to the character within his spy skills of hand to hand combat that you can't keep your eyes off this character. The story unfolds at a rapid entertaining pace. The way the other assassins come into the film is handled with impressive skill. The way these similar assassins are disposed within the narrative by Jason Bourne has a believable ruthlessness that comes out of the character. If only the "Mission:Impossible" franchise was rooted in strong story development and character study as the two impressive Jason Bourne movies, instead of Tom Cruise turning the woeful movies into his own personal bank account. Hopefully Brad Pitt can relaunch the "Mission:Impossible" franchise with number 4 in the series. Desperately looking forward to "The Bourne Ultimatum". A Jason Bourne sequel every two years is not a bad proposition. As long as the creative input is there with talented writers and directors.

The original stories were written quite a few years ago and to be honest I feel that they have not aged well. Informed, as they were, by contemporary events, the films have been given a contemporary gloss bringing them smack up to date with a brilliant spin. This, in my opinion is the best of the three. All the stories are all exceptionally good but the last two in the franchise did not benefit from the wobbly camerawork and extreme cutting. Seeing no. 2 in the cinema made me feel ill. I can stand them on DVD though, as watching it on a smaller screen makes it bearable.

Very gripping story, I love the way Tony Gilory has written the script! I saw this film many times and now later all the 3 series. Awaiting the 4th one soon.

Oh my god! I love this movie! And did you know that Matt Damon is 40 years old, I wouldnt have guessed. He looks like 20. Great actors and a super duper movie.
